Spiritual Life Retreat Goes Virtual
We had barely finished the annual planning for GEM’s spiritual life team, when we were asked, in the middle of lockdown and Covid-19, to hold the very first spiritual life retreat. We had about 10 days to prepare it, and the team really pulled together.
We had to span two continents, so for our spiritual life team, it mean a 16-hour day, but God really took it well beyond our expectations with about one-third of the mission participating.
We didn’t stay on zoom, but we gathered for brief periods to set tone and help people spend a day with God. We held debriefs at the end of both the Europe and North American days, and we couldn’t believe our ears! God had moved deeply in the souls of our missionaries and mission. Thanks for praying!
