Wonder at God’s Creation!
Grandma took us all on a fantastic vacation to Alaska: an expedition cruise!
So during the second week of July we enjoyed kayaking, hiking, looking at wildlife, hearing glaciers calve, and taking in all the wonder of how God has ordered this world of ours.
The days held a mix of warm and cold with a lot of liquid sunshine scattered throughout our week. Whales came in numbers and they also fed in numbers — something quite unique for humpback whales. We learned about “bubble-net” feeding by watching it before our very eyes. We have a gazillion photos of seals, sea lions, eagles, bears, whales, otters, etc., and lots of great memories with Megan and Michael’s grandmother, aunt, uncle and cousin.
When we returned, Michael expressed a desire to live in Alaska. He even put together this movie. Just remember it is hard to hold steady on things that move and float.
