Celebrating Thanksgiving

It is always difficult for us to celebrate Thanksgiving in Poland. Oh, we love taking time to reflect and thank God for all He has done and given us. The problem is the holiday does not exist in Poland, so we are always celebrating on the Saturday after the official holiday.
Last week, Poland celebrated their Independence, which was on Thursday, but our kids had Friday off as well. So we invited some friends, cooked a turkey (among other things), gave thanks to God and then shared what we were thankful for and conversation went around the table.
Later we played games and man did we laugh. Apples to Apples, Kent (its a card game), ate desert (both pumpkin and pecan pie -- yum, yum) and talked. It was a great day and a lot of fun.
