God-prepared People
In mid-October, I scheduled a prayer-walk trip to some of the cities on our New Initiatives plan for this year. The trip started in Madrid, continued through Paris, Lille, and then Brussels. I went in anticipation of God’s work and to see if God had prepared people to hear the good news salvation and Kingdom life in Christ. In other words, I was asking are these cities ripe for the harvest?
I was pleasantly surprised by God leading us to some very prepared people for the Gospel. Over the 6-day trip we saw 9 people trust Christ and a number of others who expressed a real desire to know more.
I went not knowing what to expect, wondering if there were such people that prepared by God in these cities. I walked away realizing, we need more people to enter the harvest as it is plentiful. We just need to get outside our churches and into the cultures around us to discover the ripe and open people to whom God is already conversing.
