Enjoying Reconnecting and Making Friends
Our kids couldn’t wait for their conference with other teens from GEM families, but they had to arrive four days early because of Doug’s role in leadership.
Lisa decided to fill the gap with many adventures into the surrounding mountains with our kids and whoever else would come along. Much to the surprise of Megan and Michael, those extra days allowed them to make some new friends, which made it all the more easy to enjoy their time with all the GEM teens when they arrived.
Lisa and I had our curiosity piqued well before this and had wondered how Megan and Michael would react to all the re-connection with friends. It had been two years since they had seen everyone. Much to our pleasure, our kids had an unbelievably memorable time, and have remained connected to their friends from across Europe since returning to Poznan.
