God has Blessed us in Christ
Lisa flew the coop this morning. I’m batching it with the kids and I am missing Lisa. I am excited for her too. She has been unpacking Ephesian 1 in our home and it has been truly enlightening.
After praying one night with the kids, she said, "Doug, we really don't need to ask for God's blessing; we need to ask Him to help appropriate the blessing we already have in Christ." I have been pondering that ever since. How much do I really rest in God’s love? Why do I let the world’s system measure me? Christ gave His life for me and then empowered me by His Spirit to live a life that is impossible on my own. On top of that, He wants me to experience His presence and acceptance. Amazing. Lisa’s questions and thoughts are still percolating in me and in her.
Pray that they will percolate in the people she will be sharing with this weekend. And pray that the women can see the wonderful grace and love of God and so be lifted up as Lisa shares them.
