Evangelistic Preaching
My good friend and pastor, Zbyszek asked me to come and preach an evangelistic sermon for an outreach being planned for their church. It was fun for me, and I enjoyed meeting some new people while there.
A couple of former inmates attended and afterword I was surprised to hear their comments. Both confessed they had assumed that believing in Jesus concerned being morally good. After the sermon, they knew it involved a radical change in life and heart, not just turning from sin, but from all the ways that allowed them to avoid their need for Christ (both good and bad).
I was quite amazed that they had caught the idea in full for what it means to be born again. God was at work in these men’s lives. Pretty cool.
