Witnessing the work of God
At the end of July I had the privilege of being with one of our missionaries who is attempting to implement many of the best practices of church planting movements (I have to be circumspect due to security reasons in this part of Europe). What we are seeing is quite unbelievable. Since this missionary brought some nationals to the training on T4T in Basel, over thirty people have committed their lives to Christ (that is in less than two months). Some of those are already sharing their faith with others, so the discipleship chain is growing.
A number of groups have started in this region of the world as a result and some of those have multiplied and have spawned second generation groups.
We are starting to see similar things happen through our missionaries in other countries. One in particular has seen around 20 groups start, most among youth, and some of those groups have spawned second and third generation churches. Many folks have come to faith as most of the groups are composed of those outside of Christ, yet their excitement cannot be contained.
So God is at work and after working hard to see GEM’s vision and mission implemented, we are beginning to see things that reflect the potential for movement to be birthed. Please pray as God is the one doing it while we only participate with Him. Pray that this occur throughout Europe and many people will be on fire for Christ.
