T4T Growing in Stockholm
Forrest Hendrix leads a church planting effort along 10 subway stops in Stockholm, Sweden. He is one of the CityReach Strategists in GEM’s 50-in-5 initiative. It is quite and amazing work.
Due to my role with New Initiatives and the 50-in-5 strategy, I took Andrew Beck up to Stockholm to see and participate in Forrest’s ministry. While there we were exposed to the mean pace of life and very impressed with Forrest’s ability to engage just about anybody in conversation and just how well known he is in these communities.
While there, I had the privilege of being used by God to lead two teenagers to Christ. Andreas was excited to see this new potential and is looking forward to doing the follow-up work.
When I saw Forrest in Dublin in April, he was praying that there would be 10 discipleship groups by early June. When Andrew and I were present, group 16 was just getting started, and a number are groups now led by new believers.
