The God Factor

TCS Team Reaches Out with Good News

They came — more than normal as we have hosted this team before, but this time 20 people came. Lisa had done a ton of work prior to their coming, and she had been in 30 classrooms the week before extending invitations. I worked with making sure logistics, meals, accommodations, transportation, etc., were in place.

Nothing could have prepared us for what God did during those 6 days. We trained and oriented the team, but when we hit the schools, God simply poured out His heart and love on the people.

The Trinity Christian School team came prepared to talk about their relationship with Jesus. We had two presentations for each classroom we visited, one on masks (the way we want to appear to others for acceptance), and another on how God has worked in each of the TCS team’s life — cardboard testimonies. Then we broke into small discussion groups.

While spiritual conversations happen during the day, we also want them to happen in the evening. This is where the God factor comes into play. We never in our wildest dreams thought we’d average a 100 students and evening. God did His thing!  Each evening a team member presented the good news of God’s work in their life and then everyone broke up into small groups. Our son also surprised us by taking the initiative to follow-up with 70 plus teens who wanted to know more or deepen their relationship with Jesus. Thanks for praying!
