Thanksgiving in Poland

Giving Thanks

No, Poles don’t celebrate Thanksgiving, but they do have harvest festivals in the Fall, just not a holiday for it.

Due to school schedules, we celebrated Thanksgiving on Sunday instead of Thursday with our teammate, Theresa (which is why we have the picture above).  We had a fantastic meal, spent time actually talking about the moments of the last year about which we were especially thankful.  Afterward we played some games, which was a ton of fun.

Yes, we had leftovers (who doesn’t) and we shared them with Theresa. They also made for making handy meals through the next week.

The conclusion of it all points to God who has been very, very good to us.
