Sending into the Harvest
Young, energetic, excited describes well the crew of people looking to go to Europe and join God in what He is doing. GEM hosts two to four Candidate Orientations a year, and I participated in the one held in late February. Each prospective missionary shared their God-story with the other candidates and expressed themselves transparently during interviews. While we grew in our understanding of each person desiring to partner with GEM, they grew in their understanding of our purpose in Europe to see disciple-making movements and what that means. The week possessed a sense of God’s blessing and leading — clearly He had some ideas. God led us to form (along with some of the candidates) a possible CityReach London team. God moved among the candidates to form this team as they listened to presenters describe movement-model disciple-making. Thanks for praying!
